Ticekt Mania in the News

I would like to thank all of you that have supported me with this situation.

As everyone should be able to tell, from the following article  My company Ticket Mania International, and Ticket Mania, was not part of the scam these people were doing.  Unfortunately they used the name 'Ticket Mania USA'.

A fictitious debt consolidation company that doubled as an illegal discount theme park ticket dealer is out of business.

Orange County Sheriff's investigators arrested three people Wednesday at TMT Financial Services on S. Orange Blossom Trail after undercover officers purchased illegal discount tickets to Universal's Wet 'n Wild water park.

TMT office manager Valencia Rene Hollis, 44, and employees Domonic Jashaun Mclin, 23, and Julia Renee Kelly, 53, were arrested. Kelly and Mclin are mother and son, according to the Sheriff's office.

The three were charged with fraudulent use of a credit cards, identity theft and scheming to defraud. Detectives estimate customers lost at least $13,000 when their credit cards were used for purchases they did not authorize.

As Kelly was being led to a patrol car, she yelled repeatedly, "Not guilty! Not guilty!"

Her son Mclin, who was also handcuffed, shook his head and said, "My employer's a liar."

Hollis did not speak.

Investigators said the TMT Financial Services posed as debt consolidation company. The three employees would use credit card numbers obtained from people purchasing theme park tickets on the Internet, according to deputies.

The tickets were advertised by Ticket Mania USA on Craigslist and sold as discounted tickets, deputies said.

The scheme came to light after officials at Wet 'n Wild alerted the sheriff's office of suspicious ticket activity, sheriff's spokeswoman Cpl. Susan Soto said. Officials then pulled aside customers at the ticket window and asked them where they had purchased the tickets. Many customers identified Ticket Mania USA as the vendor.

According to Florida incorporation records, TMT Financial Services was once a legitimate company based out of South Florida but went inactive in 2006. The last known registered agent for that company, West Palm Beach lawyer Mark Pachman, said he'd never heard of the company.

Records show no such company listed as Ticket Mania USA. There is, however, a company named Ticket Mania International, which goes by Ticket Mania. That company's owner, Andrew Olinek, is outraged that his company's name was used without his permission.

"I have absolutely no idea who they are," Olinek said. "I noticed them on Craigstlist about a month ago. I was trying to handle this amicably."

Olinek said he wanted the company to change its name. He said he left several voicemails on the business line listed on Craigslist, but no one called him back. When he heard about Wednesday's incident, he called the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

The Craigslist ads were posted as recently as 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. Tickets to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights were advertised for $60, a $9 discount.

Reports show tickets were printed on a regular sheet of printer paper. Customers would exchange the paper for admission.

There are legitimate businesses that sell discounted theme-park tickets across Central Florida, but they must obtain special permits and licenses to operate legally. Detective Kenneth Wright said buyers should be wary of discounted tickets.

"I don't recommend anyone buying tickets from anyone other than the vendor," Wright said.
